Musıc Feast Experıenced İn Maltepe

Music lovers experienced an unforgettable music feast in the concert named "Following the Masters" held within the scope of Maltepe Municipality’s April art and culture events.
In the concert at Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Cultural Center, pianist İrakli Chumburidze, violinist and academician Erman Türkili, cello artists Engin Şen and Murat Berk performed the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, who is one of the biggest composer of music history, Johannes Brahms and Antonio Vivaldi who is known as the father of concerto. Türkili, who told about the life of Beethoven to music lovers in the context of a slide show, shared Beethoven's deafness with the audience by reading the letter he wrote in his own language. The musicians who gave examples of Beethoven's latest violin and piano works made an unforgettable evening available for listeners. Engin Şen, a young cellist who performed the assistance of Çellistanbul Quartet and Çağ Erçağ in the concert, gathered applauses with his one-man stage performance.
FAIRY TALES ON MY CANVAS
Within the scope of the activities of the municipality in April, the artist-teacher Elvan Kolçak Öksüm's "Fairy Tales on My Canvas" painting exhibition was opened as well. Öksüm exhibited the works that she inspired from surrealistic stories and fairy tales. The works of Öksüm, in which she painted boats and galleons, exhibited natural themes, tile motifs, and reliefs, attracted interest. Öksüm who used pastel colors in some of her works took the visitors to the fairy world. The exhibition will be open to art lovers until April 22nd at Gallery Maltepe.
