Maltepe Municipality rank among the first 4 in participation and transparency

Maltepe Municipality, whose strategic plan is considered as a worthy strategic plan, ranks among the first 4 of 37 district municipalities in İstanbul in terms of participation, transparency, and accountability. Maltepe Municipality was able to achieve to rank among the first 4 of 37 district municipalities in the research titled "Municipal Governance Report of İstanbul Provinces from the Perspective of Citizen". The 2015-2019 Strategic Plan of Maltepe Municipality, which displayed above the average performance, was also shown as a sample application in the report in the resource utilization process, representation and participation in governance and corporate functioning, responsibility, and sensitivity, transparency, accountability, consistency of reports and documents in terms of principles.
SUCCESS RATE IS ABOVE THE AVERAGE
The research named "Municipal Governance Report of İstanbul Provinces from the Perspective of Citizen" under the tutelage of Dr. Yılmaz Argüden was concluded with the support of municipals, neighborhood administration (mukhtars), citizens and various non-governmental organizations and academics. In the study, which excluded the Islands and Şile municipalities which had no obligation to formulate a strategic plan, the governance report of 37 district municipal was introduced. Maltepe Municipality, which displays above the average performance, was ranked as the fourth in terms of representation and participation in governance and corporate functioning, responsibility and sensitivity, transparency, accountability, consistency of reports and documents in terms of principles were ranked as the 4th. The municipal's 2015-2019 strategic plan was chosen as the most successful application according to the report.
PRAISE TO THE STRATEGIC PLAN
In the prepared report, followings about Maltepe Municipality were emphasized: "While Maltepe Municipality was preparing 2015-2019 Strategic Plan, they conducted a survey with citizens and shared the neighborhood-based municipal service satisfaction rates. In addition to this, during the preparation of the plan, they conducted two attendance meeting such as 'Problem Detection Search Conference' and 'Solution and Projection Search Conference'.The results obtained were shared within the strategic plan. At the participant meeting, an example, which became prominent, has been signed."
