“Women's Interviews” started at Maltepe

Within the scope of the events of Maltepe Municipality in April, an interview was organized by the Maltepe City Council Women's Assembly titled "Women's Opinions" on the theme of "Right to Feel Secure and Good".
During the interview program, the member of Republican People's Party's High Disciplinary Board lawyer Tuba Torun and Women's Assembly member Fidan Ataselim came together with women from Maltepe. In the interview, the answer to the question "What can be the most important problems of women and children in this country?" was searched. Participants in the interview listed their most important problems as follows: otherize, identity, existence, lack of education, mutual fear of women and men, legal troubles, traditionalism, lack of love, very contiguous mother-child relationship and the lack of communication in the society.
WOMEN AND CHILDREN STRUGGLE IS ONE WITHIN THE OTHER
The member of Republican People's Party's High Disciplinary Board lawyer Tuba Torun stated that women and children struggle is intricate and is one within the other. She said that, "Especially when we think of the last term conditions of the country, it is obligatory to think of them together. Those who exposed to violence need more concrete and realistic solutions. It is beneficial to use violence as a concept that comes from outside, rather than from victimization."
Torun, who talked about the various kinds of violence, said that "Men are always telling women how to do a job, what is the point of the matter, we do not know enough about that matter. They are most likely to talk, comment at all times. Mostly the women are interrupted."
